On Monday, NDTV reported that he confessed to arranging snakes and snake venom at rave parties, according to police sources. Moreover, the report revealed that he engaged in additional illegal activities at the parties.
The report states that Elvish admitted during questioning to being involved with the other accused individuals who were arrested last year for distributing snake venom.
The authorities have identified the five individuals arrested and currently out on bail as Rahul, Teetunath, Jaikaran, Narayan, and Ravinath. They are all residents of Moharband village in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur.
Elvish Yadav Snake Venom Case
In 2023, authorities in Noida Sector 39 filed an FIR against Elvish, summoning him for questioning. Subsequently, a police raid at a party the previous year uncovered nine snakes, including five cobras, and around 20 ml of snake venom.
Consequently, Elvish, accused of supplying the snakes and venom, now faces charges under the NDPS Act. Elvish Yadav arrested from the residence of Wazirabad village in Gurugram on Sunday. He was subsequently placed in 14-day judicial custody.
Elvish Yadav News has received an update regarding the snake venom. The reports indicate that the Noida police have acknowledged it as a ‘clerical mistake’. They have also removed the NDPS Act that was previously lifted against him.
Elvish Yadav found no relief during his bail hearing on March 20. The report suggests that a scuffle broke out at a Noida court involving a BJP spokesperson and Elvish’s lawyer Gaurav Bhatia, along with other lawyers present, disrupting the proceedings. Furthermore, the local Bar association’s ongoing strike caused the postponement of the hearing.
Despite Bhatia’s attempts to convey the urgency and sensitivity of the case to the court members, the court did not permit him to continue. As a result, the bail hearing has been rescheduled.
